We have been supporting more restoration work at the Hall. Whilst it was closed, together with a large donation from Lytham Rotary, we have funded the painting of the North aspect of the Jacobean Hall. More recently we are funding the painting of the South aspect of the West Wing, which is nearing completion, and supplied several tons of hardcore to protect the edges of the new drive. The John Talbot Clifton exhibition, which was at the Heritage Centre in Lytham, has been re-established at the Hall in the Long Gallery.

Parking charges have now been introduced at the Hall but we are able to offer our Patrons free parking throughout the year. Joining as a Patron is just £50 per annum, less that £1 per week. Ordinary membership is £15 per annum and joint is £20 per annum. Go to the Membership tab for the application form. As a member you are supporting the restoration and continued access to this great asset. The Friends have raised over £250,000 to date in support of this.

The Friends have donated a 1986 Land Rover 90 to the Hall for the use of the volunteers in maintaining and developing the Park Land. 

The 22nd Friends of Lytham Hall AGM was held on the 3rd September at the Hall.   The Annual Report can be found in the Member’s area of the website.

The Friends have contributed over £9,000 towards the painting of the exterior of the Georgian Hall.

The Hound of the Baskervilles – Saturday 18th August at 7:30 pm.

The Pirates of Penzance – Sunday 19th August at 6:00 pm.

The Adventures of Dr Doolittle – Sunday 26th August at 4:00 pm.

The Snowdrop Season starts at the Hall on the first weekend in February.  Entry to the grounds will £3 adults, children free (see the Hall’s website http://www.lythamhall.org.uk). The Friends will have a shop in the Old Kitchen selling bric-a-brac and snowdrops together with our usual tombola.   Come and warm up by the fire.

Happy New Year from the Friends of Lytham Hall

Our first event will be our Snowdrop Shop at the Hall in February.   We are still sorting out details with the Hall and will publish details shortly.

We will also be holding our Easter Bunny event, supporting the 5 Outdoor Theatres during the summer and our Halloween Spooktacular later in the year.  More details and other events will be published later.

The Friends of Lytham Hall and Civic Society Annual Christmas coffee morning will be held on Tuesday 12th December 2017 from 10.30am. Entry including coffee and mince pie will be £3.00.
There will be a raffle ( for which donations of prizes are welcome), and an opportunity to buy a few presents – all to support both charities.
